Overview

The Kiwi Ears Ellipse is an open-back headphone tuned to replicate the natural, spacious presentation of floorstanding speakers in a headphone you can wear all day. At its heart is a 50mm dynamic driver with custom PU+PEK composite diaphragms, an ultra-pure copper ring, a CCAW High-Tension voice coil, and N42 high-performance magnets. The result is deep, impactful bass, warm and accurate low-mids free from bloat, and treble calibrated to match the human ear’s natural response curve.

The open-back design allows greater airflow to the driver, widening the soundstage and adding air to the treble for a more lifelike, immersive stereo experience. While it trades some noise isolation for that openness, the payoff is a presentation that feels closer to listening in a room than wearing headphones. The lightweight build, padded vegan-leather headband, and plush earpads, which also enhance bass response, make it comfortable for extended sessions. The detachable cable terminates in 3.5mm with a 6.3mm adapter included, covering both portable and desktop use.
